Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 2, 2026

Information We Collect

Waitwise collects the phone number you provide, verification and consent records, queue and session activity, call and message delivery information, feedback or concerns you submit, an optional reply email if you choose to provide one, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service. We do not currently ask you to provide Social Security numbers, IRS authentication information, PINs, passwords, or similar sensitive credentials.

How We Use Information

We use information to verify control of your phone number, provide the hold and call-connection service you request, display queue status, send communications you have authorized, respond to feedback and concerns, decide which services to support, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot the service, and comply with legal obligations.

If you permit optional analytics or advertising tools, we may also use information about visits and interactions to understand site performance, measure advertising, and improve customer acquisition. We do not send phone numbers, verification codes, queue tokens, or call contents to advertising platforms.

Mobile Information and SMS Consent

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may provide mobile information to service providers, such as telephony and messaging processors, only as necessary to deliver and support the communications you request. Those providers act on our behalf and are not permitted by us to use that information for their own marketing.

SMS hold updates, scheduled-hold reminders, service-opening alerts, and call-in instructions are optional. Message frequency varies, up to four messages per request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. SMS consent is not required to purchase or use the underlying Waitwise hold service.

Calls and Service Providers

Waitwise uses communications and infrastructure providers—including Twilio and database or hosting providers—to verify numbers, place calls, deliver authorized messages, connect conference participants, store service records, and operate the website. These providers may process information under their own contractual and legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We may share information with vendors that process it for the operational purposes described above, when you direct us to do so, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or others. We do not sell your phone number or SMS consent.

Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal requirements. Retention periods may vary by record type and will be refined as the service develops.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect service data. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Analytics and Advertising Choices

Optional analytics and advertising technologies are disabled unless you permit them through the site’s privacy choices. Your selection is stored in your browser so Waitwise can remember it. You can reopen Your privacy choices from the footer and change or withdraw permission at any time. Turning advertising and data sharing off is a request not to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. When your browser sends a supported Global Privacy Control signal, Waitwise keeps advertising tracking and data sharing disabled.

When enabled, advertising providers such as Google may process device, browser, page-view, ad-click, and interaction information under their own terms. Waitwise does not currently use customer phone numbers or SMS consent to create advertising audiences.

Your Choices

You may decline optional analytics, advertising, or SMS updates and continue using the call-based and web-status experience. You can reply STOP to opt out of supported SMS messages and START to request re-enrollment where supported by the carrier or messaging provider. You may also stop using the service or request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data through the contact method below.

Children

Waitwise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
